Joanie Leeds - "I'm a Rock Star" - Rock Jammin' Children's CD Review & Giveaway

Sometimes you gotta let loose with the kids...When things are too quiet in the van on the way to school and you want to pep them up....Everybody's cranky and fighting,   stop.....drop.....and rock!!

And I was sent the perfect CD just for these moments.  I like to Get Groovy with the Groschens and Joanie Leeds!

I was sent a pre-released copy of Joanie Leeds "I'm a Rock Star" for review.  What a fun CD!!  And the variety of types of music was fun.  It was a little rock, a little country , a little jazzy.  All sorts of fun!  Our favorite is called "More Cowbell Please" - a hip hop type of song.

Joanie's debut children’s album, City Kid, won her a 2008 Parent's Choice Award and her soulful, "rock solid" voice - plus her remarkable ability to connect with kids through her songwriting was praised highly.  You can check out City Kid and Joanie's Cool Website HERE.

Joanie says, “I love the way City Kid, turned out, but I wanted to bring a more sophisticated sound to I’m a Rock Star. The blueprint for I'm A Rock Star includes exploration, self-expression, and variety, all in a musically authentic context. I wanted everything to be fun and positive, but it was also important for me not to make musical compromises. Kids deserve no less than an authentic musical experience. The magic really began when, on tour in Nashville last year, I met some incredible musicians, and we ended up recording together at the amazing Zodlounge music production studio. (Zodlounge has produced albums for artists like Kenny Loggins and Leann Rimes.) These guys – the musicians and my production team -- really took this project to the next level. I'm so excited about the way the album turned out that I can't wait for the release!”


Joanie Leeds will release I’m a Rock Star, on March 23.  But guess what, One Lucky Goblin Reader will get their own pre-released copy of "I'm a Rock Star"  Hooray!  Here's What you gotta do:
