Sanuk Sandals - Women's Yoga Mat Sandal Review & Giveaway

I have come across some fabulous companies specializing in sandals in my search for summer footwear and Sanuk is at my top of the list.  Sanuk has been around since July, 1997 when owner and creator Jeff Kelley started making sandals out of inner tubes and indoor-outdoor carpet. “Sanük” is the Thai word for FUN, and their name is also their mantra. 

I was sent a pair of their Yoga Mat Sandals for review and haven't taken them off since.  The Yoga Mat Sandal actually feels like your walking around on Yoga Mats. I was a little concerned about the material actually flattening out after a short period of time because it's so soft, but I've been wearing mine for a month and they are not showing that type of wear at all.

Gigatent - Mega Cubes & Tubes Review

I have been coming across some really fun stuff during my search for fun and cool summer toys. Gigatent was kind enough to send me their Mega Cubes & Tubes Play Tent for review. When I found this cool play tent I thought it would be great for outdoor play on sunny days and indoor play on rainy days.   What more can a mom and kid ask for?  And it promotes imaginative and creative play.  I can't count how many games our kids and their friends have come with playing in this tent.  I really wish I would have caught more pictures of their play. Ben had his friends Zach and Zane over for a sleepover this past weekend and they had so much fun setting it up in his room and pretending they were camping in the woods.  I did capture some with Gracie with her "boyfriends" (again), playing a racing game last week!  We love this tent!!

Laying Low at the Groschens

Tropical Traditions - Canadian Raw Honey Review & Giveaway

I need to start my review with an explanation of my Condimentaluekophobia.  What is this?  Well, it's the fear of white condiments.  That's right, I do not eat white condiments: mayonaise, miracle whip, salad dressing, cream cheese, sour cream, horseradish...and any other type of white sauce. It's not so much a fear of white condiments as much as I really don't like the taste of these things, making it very hard to try anything white that I actually might like.  My dad and my sister also suffer from this strange phobia.  It's also been suggested to us that we're Supertasters, which are people who experience the sense of taste with far greater intensity than average person.  So, when Tropical Traditions sent me their Organic Canadian Raw Honey and it was white, I was not sure I was going to be able to try it.  So, what did I do?  I handed it to my husband and said "Try This" honey-honey (LOL-sorry I crack myself up).  He put some on some toast and gave it a try.  After convincing me that it did not have a wierd taste, I gave it a try.  It pretty much tastes just like any honey you'd purchase in the grocery store-just a little weaker or not quite as sweet and had a different texture.  It was absolutely delish! I loved it! Slap it on a peanut butter sandwich and you're good to go!
